Dane is a Black Lab/Hound mix. He is being trained to follow scent to be a search and rescue dog, for missing pets.
Currently he is in Obedience training.
So far he has learned:
Sit
Down
Stay
Quiet
Watch me
He is currently trying to master:
Walking on loose leash (no pulling)
Down/Stay- so far he can do 30 minutes with a few corrections, goal is to do a 30 minute down with no corrections (Tara is at an hour, with no corrections)
We have been playing Hide and Go Seek with Dane and our toy poodle.
We hide her in our back yard and have him find her by a scent article. He seems to enjoy this game and has a good nose for it.
